This is what I hear alot. Matter of fact, my friend Katie just asked me if that was my goal. And I said no. But you know what, I do love the fact that I do NOT look 29 years old. That means when I am 50, I will still be looking youthful and fresh. LOL.
No it's not my intent to look young but I keep it simple. I don't wear a lot (ANY) make up to be honest. I sometimes throw on some Sephora tinted moisturizer if I look extra pale or dull and I use lip glosses like it's going out of style but that's the extent of make up usage. I do, however, have a beauty ritual.
I use this in the morning to wash my face:
At night I use the Oil Cleansing Method (http://www.theoilcleansingmethod.com/) to clean my face from all the wear and tear of the day. My mixtures is 2/3 olive oil, 1/3 castor oil. But lately I have been doing more 50/50 just because my face was acting all types of odd.
Now this is actually a great scrub. And it leaves my skin super smooth but it costs $30 for a small bottle. But it costs money to look good. LOL.
If I am breaking out, which is rare but does happen, I use Aveeno Clear Complexion and Neutrogena Acne Gel. This usually works. the only bad thing about break outs is dark marks. IF this happens (and it does because I can't keep my hands out of my face), I use Ambi Fade Cream. And that works wonders.
So this is me, at 28, with a full face of make up courtesy of Dove and Cosmo magazine:
I think I look younger than that. And this is how I do look today, sans make up. So yeah it's all about keeping it simple.
That is all.
